I love a challenge that I have never experimented with before. Light graffiti or (light painting, is what I like to call it) is achieved by using a slow shutter speed so that you have time to paint light. My entire family had so much fun with this challenge. I loved exposing my kids to this type of art. It was like magically painting and they felt so special to be a part of it. Having 3 boys (and a fourth on the way), this street ball graffiti is very fitting for my home. It was achieved by giving my 3 boys + my husband glow sticks. They ran around "painting light" for about 30 seconds while the shutter was opened. It just so happened to also be a full moon on this night. Because their bodies were moving the entire time, the camera did not pick up their shadow. This project was very much an experiment. Below you will see my other attempts at painting light:
